The Climate Change Adventure Club
The Climate Change Adventure Club is a culture of possibility rooted in imagination, relationship, and joy, showing what becomes possible for people and the planet when we learn to live differently—together.
The Climate Change Adventure Club helps young people grow into thoughtful, grounded, creative humans who feel connected—to themselves, to others, and to the living world—so that caring for the Earth becomes a natural expression of who they are.
What Is the Climate Change Adventure Club?
The Climate Change Adventure Club is a playful, imaginative culture of possibility rooted in a big, unfolding adventure—and at its heart, it’s about helping children (and later teens and adults) develop an inner compass for living on the Earth with care. While climate change provides an important context, CCAC is not driven by fear, urgency, or instruction. In CCAC, climate change becomes the context for learning, not the subject being taught. The aim is to cultivate people who can respond creatively to challenges rather than react from fear. It begins instead with relationship: to self, to others, to emerging dreams, and to the living world. From this place, curiosity opens, imagination awakens, and new ways of living become possible.
Through the Back to Our Nature TV series, children are invited into wide-ranging journeys—such as rail journeys and a transportable geodesic dome, among many other settings—that explore how people live, think, grow, and relate to one another and to the living world. Across the episodes, viewers encounter expansive ideas and lived experiences: forward-thinking ways of moving through the world, the courage to think deeply and question assumptions, the importance of letting children grow into who they already are, and the understanding that the Earth is harmed not only by extraction, but also by repression—of creativity, feeling, and authentic expression. These stories expand what feels possible, not just for the characters on screen, but for children, adults, and the planet itself.
The Climate Change Adventure Club extends this adventure beyond the screen. Rather than being told what to do, corrected, or advised in how things have always been done, children learn by watching, imagining, wondering, and practicing together. Through CCAC, kids are invited to notice their surroundings, care for shared spaces, reflect on their experiences, and contribute something of their own—even as that contribution is still forming. Caring for the Earth grows out of relationship, not rules. Guided by curiosity, joy, and imagination rather than shame or being diminished, children begin to see themselves as participants in a living, evolving world. Over time, these human-centered ways of living can help shift patterns, open new possibilities, and support a more balanced, thriving future.
The Role of the Back to Our Nature TV Series
The Back to Our Nature TV series opens imaginative doorways into what’s possible—for children, for communities, and for the planet itself. Across its episodes, the series invites viewers into rich, meaningful experiences: journeys by train that reimagine connection and cooperation, stories that encourage deep thinking and questioning, moments of music and wonder that slow time and open perspective. Rather than presenting answers, the series expands the field of imagination, showing kids (and adults) new ways of seeing the world, relating to one another, and responding creatively to challenges. These stories quietly communicate values—curiosity, care, shared responsibility, and respect for the Earth—while modeling lives guided by relationship rather than urgency or control. In doing so, the series helps create a shared sense of possibility that flows naturally into the Climate Change Adventure Club, where children carry these ideas forward into reflection, conversation, and everyday life.
Proposed Refined Mission Statement
Changing Course Productions, Inc. creates stories, music, and experiences that invite children and families to reconnect—with themselves, with one another, and with the living world. Through Back to Our Nature and the Climate Change Adventure Club, we offer entertaining and mind-broadening experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and a sense of belonging. When children learn to know themselves, explore their creativity, and experience how they are part of the world—not just on it—they begin to interact with life in new and more caring ways.
As perspective grows and relationships deepen, synergy emerges. New ideas are born. Unexpected solutions appear. When people—especially children—learn to give back more to the Earth than they take, patterns begin to shift. We believe this kind of human-centered, imaginative change can slow the forces driving climate disruption and help create a more balanced and thriving future. Our work is rooted in hope, playfulness, and the conviction that nurturing the human spirit is an essential part of healing our planet.
